NIKO
Niko is the Gyrotonic Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, Contemporary Dancer and Nutritionist.
She was born in Tokyo, Japan; she began dancing at the age of twelve and trained in gymnastics in high school. By 1999 Niko joined the IAC studio in Tokyo, where she studied contemporary dance, ballet, and the Lester Horton technique. In 2000 Niko studied technique at Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center in New York. She also learned releasing techniques taught by Carol Fonda. After her return to Japan, she performed and began to develop her own style of choreography. Revered by her peers and regarded as one of the most distinguished dancers in Tokyo, not only in Japan but abroad, Niko quickly became an international entertainer.
Niko became increasingly interested in body conditioning after sustaining an injury to her back. As a result of this, she began to focus on the inside of the body, including the skeletal structure (bones), inner muscles strengthening, stretching and flexibility.
Niko says, “If the body is not healthy, we can’t enjoy a supreme quality of life; we have to listen to our body's voice. Niko is always studying new ways to train the human body.
The main focus is an agile supple body. Our aim is to instill stability, harmony, motivation and balance to your body and mind.
